Dear Judi,

I finally found a site that I hope can help me. I have been seeing this man for three years and his verbal abuse is horrible! He gets all out of control and there are times that he screamed and cursed at me in public. But he is not that way all the time. When he is not abusive, he is really wonderful. He helps me and tries to please me. I am clueless as to what to do. He said he was sorry—but that I caused it. I don't know what I did. This is the scenario all the time.

Dear Judi,

I am writing because I just feel depressed and confused and just saw your web site.  I am intelligent, educated, and feel like I am crazy with what goes on in this house.  I live with my boy friend who explodes for no reason, blames me for things I have nothing to do with and gets nasty.  He ALWAYS says it is my fault, no matter what.  Sometimes things are good and then I can't remember when they were bad.  And when they are bad, can't remember when they were good.  I feel totally un-together.  Would anti-depressants help?  He has nixed couple's counseling.

Barbara
